The IPSC Student App provides two ways to communicate with your school's support staff: Live Chat for real-time conversations and Support Tickets for tracked issue resolution.
Live Chat
Open from Menu → Communication → Live Chat.
- Conversation List: Shows all your existing chat conversations with the school support team. Conversations with unread messages are highlighted.
- Start a New Chat: Tap the "+" or "Start Chat" button. Enter a subject for your conversation (e.g., "Fee Query" or "Homework Help") and start chatting.
- Chat Screen: Messages appear as bubbles — your messages on the right, school staff replies on the left. You can type text messages and send them in real time.
- Real-time: The chat uses WebSocket technology, so messages are delivered instantly. You will also receive push notifications for new messages when the app is in the background.
Support Tickets
Open from Menu → Communication → Support Tickets.
- Ticket List: Shows all your support tickets with status badges (Open, In Progress, Resolved, Closed).
- Create a Ticket: Tap the "+" or "New Ticket" button. Enter a subject and describe your issue in detail. Submit it, and the school support team will respond.
- Ticket Details: Tap any ticket to see the full description, status history, and replies from support staff. You can also reply to the ticket from within the app.
- Tracking: Each ticket has a unique ID for reference. You can track the progress of your issue from Open to Resolved.
When to Use Which?
- Use Live Chat for quick questions and real-time conversations.
- Use Support Tickets for formal issues that need tracking and a documented resolution (e.g., a fee dispute or a technical problem).
